What clients want to know upfront
What does the consulting cost?
It depends on scope and duration – the range goes from a two-day bid review to multi-year support of a major project. That is why I do not publish list prices, but quote specifically after the initial conversation. Possible models are a selective engagement billed by time, a fixed fee for a defined project phase, or an agreed monthly time allocation for continuous support.
Is the initial consultation really free and without obligation?
Yes. Around 30 minutes, by phone or on site, free of charge and with no follow-up commitment. You get my honest assessment – including when it is that you do not need consulting at all.
From what project size is an engagement worthwhile?
I have supported projects from single-digit millions to the low hundreds of millions of euros. There is no hard lower limit: clearly scoped assignments such as a bid review, an as-is analysis or a second opinion on a layout are explicitly offered.
Are you tied to any manufacturer or supplier?
No. I sell no equipment, no components and no software, and I accept no commissions or kickbacks from suppliers. My compensation comes solely from the client – so there is no conflict of interest in technology or supplier recommendations.
Can you take on a project that is already in trouble?
Yes. Risk and crisis management in ongoing large projects is a stated area of expertise – for example with schedule delays, quality problems or escalating variation orders. The earlier I join, the more room to manoeuvre remains.
Do you work internationally?
Yes. More than 45 projects have been delivered internationally. Consulting and project documentation in German and English, with on-site presence as required – focus on Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the EU.
